I discovered pottery in high school in 1973 and managed the City of Orlando's Pottery Studios for 27 years. I've had the opportunity to spend time with so many great clay teachers over the course of 37 years. I feel the only way you can expand your abilities is to expose yourself to as many instructors as possible. I am grateful to be able to share all this information that I have acquired throughout time. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or you are an experienced clay maker, you'll always learn something new by taking a class.

I will be having 2 hand building classes one on Wednesday mornings, afternoon and evening classes are available.  The wheel throwing classes will also have a Thursday morning and a new evening class. *Open Studio will be available on those two days during regular class time hours.

I look forward to seeing all my regular students and meeting new people to share my clay making experiences.

*There's an extra charge for Open Studio.

Hand Building Classes

I'm excited to introduce the projects for my upcoming sessions. My classes are structured, I walk you through each part of the process. This insures your success and a happy clay making experience. You will leave the session with a nicely finish piece and information that you can add to your tool box for all your future clay projects.

The sessions are once a week for four weeks. Each class is two hours long. Call in advance to secure your space: 352-728-3933

Hand Building a Spirit Mask & Nature Trivets

I'm keeping it fun and simple in my new class session. We'll be creating a textured slab made of white earthenware clay to make a cool spirit mask. A nice addition of art that you can hang on your patio. We'll be using different decorating techniques and under glazes to emblish our surfaces.  We will also make a set of two trivet dishes that are slab built and decorated with plant life from the garden.  Easy Peasy! All materials and firing is included in the three week session.
